Yee-Ming Tan has extensive experience in diverse cultures, having lived and worked in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Taiwan and Hongkong. She has over twenty-years corporate experience including senior level human resources and executive development positions at WorldCom Asia Pacific, Prudential Corporation and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu management consulting practice. Her corporate clients include Cathay Pacific, L’Oreal, Mead Johnson, Microsoft, Standard Chartered Bank, DB Schenker, and she also works with young entrepreneurs and new start-ups.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Linguistics from Victoria University of Wellington, and a Master in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Ming’s approach is anchored in positive psychology and her unique blend of Western approach and Asian sensitivity allows her to work well with both western and Asian executives. She is passionate about coach training as a leadership development tool and in helping organizations to incorporate positive psychology into their talent management practices.
Ming is a regular writer for Positive Psychology News Daily and also publishes the RippleCards coaching tools. Her book “Start your own ripple effect” (漣漪詞－11個改變人我關係的正向思考), published in Chinese, inspires a young generation of Chinese people to live a flourishing life.
